Funky Junk, n.
By: A Cat Eye Girl  -  5/17/2011

Funky Junk, n.,

1.  Unique vintage elements that complement our increasingly informal lifestyles.  (Commonly known asfunky junk, funky junk shows, Yakima, Portland, Hillsboro, Spokane, Seattle, Tri-Cities, Kennewick, Walla Walla funky junk.)

2.  A visual expression of our sense of humor using fun, whimsical and unlikely paired elements with peeling paint, industrial qualities and obsolete original purpose.  (A funky look using junk that makes us happy and optimistic.)

3.  A decor that readily provides outlets for our creativity and handily serves us learning moments as we try to figure out what it is, what it was used for and how we can repurpose it into our lives and homes as a structurally functional element, instead of an obsolete old thing.

4.  An expression of our recycling values and do-the-right-thing nature.  Funky junk is a lifestyle and value system as well as a look or decor.
