The Kitchen Queen
Carolyn Pederson

KitchenQueen@CatEyeGirls.com

Following a lifetime of collecting, the Kitchen Queen took a leap into the “antique” world in 1999. Her eye for display, buying instincts and passion for Victorian elements and kitchenware created a following of loyalists -- repeat customers!

The Kitchen Queen is a master of displays, an inventive repurposer, an inspirational gardener, an accomplished artisan and a gracious hostess.

The retirement clock alarm went off . . . now there are no Monday mornings or work weeks to interfere with her passion for delivering real value, extraordinary old things and healthy doses of inspiration to her customers.

For the past twenty years, the Kitchen Queen resided in a 1908 farmhouse set in the Snohomish River Valley.  She and her husband, Bob, lovingly worked to restore and add contemporary amenities and creature comforts while maintaining the charm and character of the original architecture. She and Bob moved to town a year ago, closing one chapter of their life and opening another.

Her Cat Eye Girl peers describe her as classy, without the pretense. In fact, there is a quality about her that the word humility doesn’t quite capture – yet we are at a loss for a better one. The Kitchen Queen’s sense of humor always brings levity into the Cat Eye Girl’s clubhouse.

Lastly, her commitment to living well, working hard and fostering lasting relationships reminds us that a joyful spirit is the foundation of a rich and prosperous life.
